single_wqPn single_wqPnParticipant::So — been using this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, small stakes, for context.
How I found it was honestly pretty stupid — I never could figure out what an e/w return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just eyeball it and get a shock. Now type the odds in first, every time, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it shows profit and total return straight away, either odds format. There’s also the bigger stuff — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where most people I know lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at free matched bet calculator — free, no signup.
One thing that genuinely made a difference is the nerdier tools. The odds-to-probability converter that shows how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly tool — I use half kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit if I’m spreading across selections.
It’s not perfect mind. The interface looks very functional, let’s say — zero frills, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it works although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no app, just the site — slight shame just flagging it.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If you honestly adds it up in their head, give it a go — it’s saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

The reason I started using it was genuinely embarrassing — I never could get my head round what an e/w return would be once you get five places instead of three. I’d just wing it and then be surprised. Now punch the numbers in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — type in the price and your stake and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing, either odds format. There’s also the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where I’d always mess it up. If you want a look, it’s over at matched betting formula — free, no signup.
What actually made a difference is the nerdier tools. The probability converter and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent if I’m covering two or three runners.
Couple of gripes. Its layout is pretty plain — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it works although the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. And nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — fine by me but worth saying.
So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does what it says. If anyone still does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
