Right — been on this thing for about a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d write something up since a mate asked me a few days back. Am in the UK, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I never could get my head round what an e/w payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just guess and get a shock. Now type the odds in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — type in the price and your stake and it spits out the return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the bigger stuff — acca and treble returns, lucky 15s, yankees, and that’s where I always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at gambling odds converter — free, no signup.

One thing that actually shifted things for me is the geekier bits. The odds-to-probability converter and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is decent for when I’m covering two or three runners.

Not all sunshine though. The interface feels pretty plain — not much frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it works though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. There’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does the job. If you still adds it up in their head, try it — saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.

Right — have been messing about with this thing for something like six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d write something up since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, mainly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.

How I found it was honestly pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever figure out what an e/w return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I’d just wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the one I use most — you put in the price and your stake and you get the return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always lose track. The thing that actually shifted things for me were the more serious tools. The odds-to-probability thing that shows the overround, and a kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one is handy too if I’m spreading across selections.

Couple of gripes. Its design is pretty plain — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it works but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — fine by me but worth saying.

So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone still adds it up in their head, try it — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
