single_tosi single_tosiParticipant::Right — have been messing about with this thing for about five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d say something since someone asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, for context.
What got me on it was honestly embarrassing — I couldn’t ever figure out what an e/w payout would be when the place terms changed. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows profit and total return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, and that’s where I always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at odds calculator matched betting and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
What actually shifted things for me is the more serious tools. They’ve got an probability converter that shows what margin’s baked in, and a kelly staking tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is handy too for when I’m spreading across selections.
Not all sunshine though. Its design feels very functional, let’s say — no flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s fine though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. And no proper app, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
single_tosi single_tosiParticipant::OK — been using this thing for maybe a few months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am based in the UK, generally bet football and racing, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.
How I found it was actually a bit daft — I could never figure out what an ew return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now I type the odds in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and you get profit and total return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, and that’s where I always lose track. If you want a look, it’s here super heinz bet365 and it’s free with no account nonsense.
The thing that genuinely shifted things for me were the nerdier bits. They’ve got an probability calculator and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too if I’m splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. The interface is pretty plain — no frills, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it’s fine though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There’s no proper app, it’s browser only — fine by me just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Free, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who still does the maths on paper, give it a go — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
