Right — have been messing about with this thing for something like five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. I’m in the UK, generally bet football and racing, nothing mad, for context.

How I found it was actually embarrassing — I could never figure out what an each way return would be with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just guess and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — type in the price and your stake and it shows profit and total return instantly, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — trebles returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, which is where most people I know got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at how to work out a patent bet and it’s free with no account nonsense.

One thing that actually made a difference is the nerdier tools. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter which shows you what margin’s baked in, and a kelly staking calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too if I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. The design is very functional, let’s say — zero frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it works although the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s nothing on the app store, just the site — fine by me just flagging it.

Anyway. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone even now does the maths on paper, give it a go — saved me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

OK — have been messing about with this thing for maybe six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m UK based, mainly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, for context.

The reason I started using it was actually pretty stupid — I could never work out what an e/w return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just guess and then be surprised. Now I type the odds in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it shows the return instantly, fractions or decimals. There’s also the bigger stuff — trebles maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, honestly that’s where I always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here odds converter percentage and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

What really made a difference is the more serious tools. They’ve got an odds-to-probability thing which shows you the overround, and a kelly tool — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutch tool is decent if I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design is very functional, let’s say — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works but the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. And no app, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

Anyway. Free, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone even now adds it up in their head, give it a go — it’s saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
