single_tkPn single_tkPnParticipant::OK — been using this thing for maybe five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d say something since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, generally do football and horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.
How I found it was actually a bit daft — I could never work out what an each way return would be with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I stick my stake in first, every time, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — type in your stake, the odds and it shows returns with no faffing, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, which is where I’d always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at matched betting profit calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
What genuinely shifted things for me were the more serious bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter which shows you what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutching one gets used a fair bit when I’m covering two or three runners.
Couple of gripes. The design looks a bit basic — not much polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it works though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but worth saying.
So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone even now does the maths on paper, have a look — saves me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
