So — been on this thing for about six months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d say something since a mate asked me the other day. I’m in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was actually a bit daft — I couldn’t ever figure out what an e/w return actually was when the place terms changed. Basically I’d wing it and then be surprised. Now type the odds in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator tool is the one I’m on daily — type in your stake, the odds and you get the return straight away, fractions or decimals. There’s also the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, yankees, and that’s where most people I know got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s over at matched betting automatcher and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What actually made a difference was the more serious bits. They’ve got an probability converter and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. The layout feels pretty plain — not much polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s fine though the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no proper app, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Free, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saves me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
