single_rrsi single_rrsiParticipant::So — been on this thing for maybe six months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. I’m in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, nothing mad, for context.
How I found it was actually embarrassing — I could never figure out what an ew return would be when the place terms changed. Basically I’d wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I punch the numbers in first, every time, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows profit and total return instantly, either odds format. There’s also the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, honestly that’s where most people I know got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here how to work out a lucky 15 — free, no signup.
What actually changed how I bet were the more serious bits. They’ve got an probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and a kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit for when I’m splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. The interface is pretty plain — not much flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it works although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s no proper app, just the site — fine by me just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If you even now does the maths on paper, try it — saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
