single_rqsi single_rqsiParticipant::So — been using this thing for about four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, for context.
How I found it was honestly embarrassing — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an each way payout would be when the place terms changed. Basically I’d eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator is the part I’m on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and it spits out returns straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where I always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it lives at each way bet calculator double and it’s free with no account nonsense.
What actually changed how I bet were the geekier tools. They’ve got an implied probability calculator which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly staking tool — I use half kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too if I’m covering two or three runners.
Not all sunshine though. Its layout looks a bit basic — no frills, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s fine although the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.
So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone even now works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saves me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
