OK — been using this thing for about five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d write something up since someone asked me the other day. Am in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was actually pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an ew return would be with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d guess and then be surprised. These days I punch the numbers in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — type in the price and your stake and you get profit and total return straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — acca and treble returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, which is where most people I know got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s here free lucky 15 bet calculator — free, no signup.

The thing that actually made a difference was the geekier tools. There’s an probability thing that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly staking tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too for when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design looks very functional, let’s say — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s usable although the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And no app, it’s browser only — fine by me but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. Anyone who even now does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

So — been on this thing for about a few months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

How I found it was genuinely embarrassing — I could never work out what an ew payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and get a shock. Now type the odds in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the one I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the multiples — trebles returns, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where I always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here 49s patent lottery bet calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

What really made a difference was the geekier extras. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter and it makes obvious the overround, plus a kelly calculator — I use half kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is handy too if I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design feels a bit basic — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it works but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. There’s no proper app, it’s browser only — slight shame but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone even now adds it up in their head, give it a go — it’s saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
