So — been on this thing for maybe a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, mainly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
What got me on it was genuinely embarrassing — I couldn’t ever figure out what an e/w return would be once you get five places instead of three. I used to just guess and get a shock. Now I punch the numbers in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return instantly, either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, honestly that’s where most people I know mess it up. What actually changed how I bet was the more serious tools. They’ve got an implied probability converter and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutching one gets used a fair bit if I’m spreading across selections.
It’s not perfect mind. The design feels very functional, let’s say — zero frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s fine though the bigger tables are a squeeze. There’s nothing on the app store, just the site — fine by me just flagging it.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone even now works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saves me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
