single_mpsi single_mpsiParticipant::Right — have been messing about with this thing for about five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.
What got me on it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never work out what an ew return actually was once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. Now I punch the numbers in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator is the one I use most — type in the price and your stake and it shows returns instantly, either odds format. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, honestly that’s where I always mess it up. If you want a look, it lives at each way matched betting calculator — free, no signup.
One thing that actually changed how I bet is the geekier tools. They’ve got an probability calculator that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent if I’m splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. The design is a bit basic — not much flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it works but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but you asked.
So yeah. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. If anyone honestly does the maths on paper, have a look — saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
