single_mlPn single_mlPnParticipant::OK — been on this thing for about a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. Am based in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was honestly a bit daft — I could never get my head round what an e/w return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. These days I stick my stake in first, every time, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and it shows the return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the bigger stuff — trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at lucky 15 each way calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
What really made a difference were the geekier bits. They’ve got an probability converter that shows what margin’s baked in, and a kelly staking calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one is handy too when I’m spreading across selections.
It’s not perfect mind. The design looks very functional, let’s say — zero flash, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it works though the acca grid are a squeeze. And no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does the job. If anyone still does the maths on paper, give it a go — saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
