So — have been messing about with this thing for maybe four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, for context.

The reason I started using it was actually pretty stupid — I could never work out what an ew payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just eyeball it and get a shock. These days I stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator is the one I open most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15s, yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always lose track. If you want a look, it’s here odds accumulator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

The thing that really changed how I bet were the geekier bits. They’ve got an probability converter and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit for when I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. Its interface is pretty plain — no flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s usable though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There’s nothing on the app store, just the site — slight shame just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. Anyone who still adds it up in their head, give it a go — it’s saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
