single_lvsi single_lvsiParticipant::So — been on this thing for something like a few months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me the other day. I’m in the UK, mainly do football and horses, nothing mad, for context.
What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I never could figure out what an each way payout would be when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now I punch the numbers in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — you put in stake and odds and it spits out profit and total return instantly, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, and that’s where I’d always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at super heinz calculator — free, no signup.
The thing that really made a difference was the geekier bits. They’ve got an probability converter and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I use half kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit when I’m covering two or three runners.
It’s not perfect mind. The layout is pretty plain — no flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it’s usable but the bigger tables are a squeeze. And nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — slight shame but worth saying.
Anyway. Free, barely any ads, works. If you even now works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.
