single_lssi single_lssiParticipant::So — been using this thing for maybe five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d say something since someone asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, generally stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.
How I found it was genuinely a bit daft — I could never work out what an each way payout actually came to when the place terms changed. I’d just guess and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and it shows returns straight away, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where most people I know mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s over at betfred lucky 15 calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that actually changed how I bet was the geekier tools. The probability calculator which shows you what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I use half kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutching one is handy too if I’m spreading across selections.
Couple of gripes. The interface is a bit basic — not much flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works but the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. Also there’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but you asked.
So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone honestly does the maths on paper, give it a go — saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
