single_hkPn single_hkPnParticipant::OK — been using this thing for about five months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d say something since someone asked me last week. Am UK based, mostly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was genuinely embarrassing — I could never get my head round what an each way return actually came to once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d guess and then be surprised. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and it shows the return straight away, either odds format. It also handles the multiples — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s here bet accumulator calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
One thing that genuinely changed how I bet is the nerdier extras. There’s an probability converter and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit when I’m splitting a race.
It’s not perfect mind. Its design is a bit basic — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s usable although the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. And nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but you asked.
Right, that’s me. Free, barely any ads, does the job. If anyone still does the maths on paper, give it a go — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
