single_gvPn single_gvPnParticipant::Right — been using this thing for maybe a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, small stakes, so take it how you like.
How I found it was actually a bit daft — I never could work out what an e/w return actually was when the place terms changed. I’d just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator is the part I open most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it shows the return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the multiples — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, and that’s where I’d always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here bookmaker margin calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that genuinely made a difference were the more serious bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, plus a kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool is decent if I’m spreading across selections.
It’s not perfect mind. Its interface feels a bit basic — no frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it works although the bigger tables are a squeeze. There’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — slight shame but you asked.
Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone honestly adds it up in their head, try it — it’s saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
