Right — been using this thing for something like five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d say something since someone asked me the other day. Am UK based, generally stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was honestly embarrassing — I couldn’t ever work out what an e/w return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I used to just eyeball it and then be surprised. These days I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator is the part I use most — type in the price and your stake and it shows profit and total return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where most people I know mess it up. The thing that genuinely changed how I bet were the nerdier tools. The probability converter which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly criterion tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when I’m splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. Its interface is very functional, let’s say — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it works though the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.
Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who even now works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
