Right — been on this thing for maybe a few months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

How I found it was actually a bit daft — I never could work out what an e/w return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and it spits out the return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, and that’s where I’d always lose track. If you want a look, it’s over at kelly calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

One thing that really shifted things for me were the geekier bits. There’s an probability calculator and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent when I’m spreading across selections.

Not all sunshine though. Its layout feels a bit basic — no polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s fine although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone even now does the maths on paper, try it — it’s saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.

OK — been using this thing for maybe four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. I’m in the UK, mostly do football and horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever figure out what an ew return would be when the place terms changed. I’d just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and you get the return with no faffing, either odds format. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where I’d always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s here acca bet calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What really made a difference was the more serious tools. There’s an implied probability thing that shows the overround, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit when I’m spreading across selections.

Not all sunshine though. Its layout looks a bit basic — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it works though the acca grid are a squeeze. Also there’s no proper app, it’s browser only — fine by me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Free, barely any ads, works. If anyone even now adds it up in their head, give it a go — it’s saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
