Right — been on this thing for about four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
How I found it was actually pretty stupid — I never could get my head round what an each way return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d wing it and then be surprised. Now punch the numbers in before every slip, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator is the one I open most — type in stake and odds and it spits out returns with no faffing, either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always got it wrong. One thing that genuinely made a difference were the more serious bits. There’s an odds-to-probability calculator that shows what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when I’m splitting a race.
It’s not perfect mind. Its layout looks a bit basic — no polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it works although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me but you asked.
So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me a load of arguments with the bookie.
