Right — been using this thing for about five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d say something since someone asked me last week. I’m based in the UK, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I never could figure out what an ew return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d guess and get a shock. Now punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — type in the price and your stake and you get the return straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. The thing that actually shifted things for me is the geekier tools. They’ve got an probability converter which shows you the overround, and there’s the kelly tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is handy too if I’m spreading across selections.
Couple of gripes. The interface looks very functional, let’s say — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it works but the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s no proper app, it’s browser only — slight shame just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does the job. If you still does the maths on paper, give it a go — it’s saved me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
