So — have been messing about with this thing for something like four months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. Am UK based, generally do football and horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.
What got me on it was honestly pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an each way return actually came to once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — you put in the price and your stake and it shows the return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where most people I know mess it up. What genuinely made a difference is the nerdier bits. The implied probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, plus a kelly calculator — I use half kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m spreading across selections.
It’s not perfect mind. The interface looks very functional, let’s say — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it works though the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. There’s no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone even now adds it up in their head, give it a go — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
