Right — been using this thing for about six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, small stakes, so take it how you like.
How I found it was actually a bit daft — I couldn’t ever work out what an e/w return would be once you get five places instead of three. I used to just guess and then be surprised. Now I type the odds in before I place anything, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — type in your stake, the odds and you get the return instantly, fractions or decimals. It also handles the bigger stuff — trebles returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, which is where most people I know lose track. One thing that really made a difference was the geekier tools. There’s an odds-to-probability converter and it makes obvious the overround, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is decent when I’m splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. Its layout is very functional, let’s say — zero frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works though the bigger tables are a squeeze. Also there’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.
So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone honestly adds it up in their head, give it a go — saves me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
