single_brsi single_brsiParticipant::OK — been on this thing for something like four months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, mainly bet football and racing, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
How I found it was genuinely a bit daft — I never could get my head round what an ew return actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. Now stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you put in stake and odds and you get returns straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, honestly that’s where I always lose track. If you want a look, it lives at half kelly calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
The thing that genuinely changed how I bet is the more serious tools. There’s an odds-to-probability converter which shows you the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when I’m splitting a race.
It’s not perfect mind. Its design is very functional, let’s say — no flash, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s fine though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.
So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. Anyone who still does the maths on paper, try it — it’s saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
