So — have been messing about with this thing for something like a few months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was actually pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever work out what an ew return would be with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. Now type the odds in before every slip, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I use most — type in your stake, the odds and it shows the return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, and that’s where I always mess it up. What genuinely shifted things for me were the nerdier tools. The implied probability calculator that shows what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit for when I’m covering two or three runners.
It’s not perfect mind. The layout looks a bit basic — no frills, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable although the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There’s no app, just the site — fine by me but worth saying.
Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone honestly does the maths on paper, give it a go — saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
