single_ybsi single_ybsiParticipant::OK — been using this thing for maybe four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d say something since someone asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, generally do football and horses, small stakes, for context.
What got me on it was genuinely a bit daft — I couldn’t ever figure out what an each way payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now I punch the numbers in before every slip, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you drop in your stake, the odds and you get returns straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the bigger stuff — trebles returns, a lucky 15, yankees, honestly that’s where I always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at student matched betting calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that really made a difference were the more serious bits. They’ve got an probability calculator that shows the overround, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too when I’m covering two or three runners.
Couple of gripes. Its layout is a bit basic — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s fine but the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. And no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.
Anyway. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, works. If you even now does the maths on paper, give it a go — it’s saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.

single_ybsi single_ybsiParticipant::OK — been using this thing for something like four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am UK based, generally stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was genuinely embarrassing — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an e/w payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d wing it and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — you put in stake and odds and it shows profit and total return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the bigger stuff — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, which is where I always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at bet irish lotto trixie and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that actually shifted things for me was the nerdier tools. The odds-to-probability thing that shows the overround, plus a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m covering two or three runners.
It’s not perfect mind. Its design is very functional, let’s say — zero frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no app, it’s browser only — slight shame but you asked.
Anyway. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. Anyone who still adds it up in their head, give it a go — saves me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
