single_jhPn single_jhPnParticipant::Right — been on this thing for about six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, generally do football and horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.
How I found it was actually embarrassing — I couldn’t ever figure out what an ew return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — type in stake and odds and you get returns instantly, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, honestly that’s where I’d always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it lives at fractional kelly calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that actually shifted things for me were the more serious extras. They’ve got an probability converter that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too when I’m covering two or three runners.
Couple of gripes. The design feels pretty plain — no polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s usable although the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. There’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — slight shame but you asked.
Right, that’s me. Free, barely any ads, works. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — it’s saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.
