single_kiPn single_kiPnParticipant::OK — been using this thing for maybe four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me the other day. I’m UK based, generally stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, for context.
The reason I started using it was actually pretty stupid — I never could get my head round what an each way return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. Now I punch the numbers in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and it shows returns instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the multiples — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, honestly that’s where I always mess it up. If you want a look, it lives at odds accumulator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
What really made a difference is the more serious tools. They’ve got an implied probability calculator that shows the overround, and a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one gets used a fair bit if I’m spreading across selections.
Couple of gripes. Its layout looks a bit basic — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s fine but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. There’s no app, it’s browser only — fine by me just flagging it.
So yeah. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. Anyone who still does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
