Right — been on this thing for something like a few months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me a few days back. Am in the UK, mostly do football and horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.
How I found it was honestly a bit daft — I could never figure out what an e/w payout actually came to once you get five places instead of three. I used to just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now I type the odds in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you put in stake and odds and you get returns straight away, either odds format. There’s also the bigger stuff — trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at lucky 63 — free, no signup.
The thing that genuinely changed how I bet was the geekier tools. The implied probability thing that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly tool — I use half kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m covering two or three runners.
Couple of gripes. The interface feels pretty plain — not much polish, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it’s fine but the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. And no proper app, it’s browser only — fine by me just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who even now works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
