OK — been on this thing for something like four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d write something up since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, nothing mad, for context.
The reason I started using it was honestly embarrassing — I never could get my head round what an ew payout would be when the place terms changed. I’d just eyeball it and get a shock. Now I type the odds in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it shows profit and total return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where I always lose track. The thing that genuinely changed how I bet were the geekier extras. The odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, and there’s the kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutch tool is decent when I’m splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. The layout is very functional, let’s say — not much frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it’s fine though the acca grid are a squeeze. Also there’s no proper app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.
Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If you even now works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
