single_cxsi single_cxsiParticipant::Right — been using this thing for maybe six months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, generally stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
How I found it was actually a bit daft — I couldn’t ever figure out what an e/w payout actually was once you get five places instead of three. I’d just wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator is the part I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return straight away, fractions or decimals. There’s also the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, yankees, which is where most people I know lose track. If you want a look, it lives at calculator matched betting and it’s free with no account nonsense.
What actually changed how I bet were the more serious tools. They’ve got an probability thing that shows the overround, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit when I’m covering two or three runners.
Couple of gripes. Its layout looks pretty plain — no flash, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it’s usable although the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. There’s nothing on the app store, just the site — fine by me but worth saying.
Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, works. Anyone who honestly adds it up in their head, try it — it’s saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
