Right — been using this thing for something like four months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m UK based, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.
How I found it was honestly pretty stupid — I never could get my head round what an each way payout actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator tool is the part I’m on daily — you drop in your stake, the odds and you get the return straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, and that’s where I’d always mess it up. What genuinely shifted things for me were the nerdier tools. There’s an implied probability thing that shows how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit if I’m covering two or three runners.
Couple of gripes. The interface feels a bit basic — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s usable although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no proper app, it’s browser only — fine by me but worth saying.
So yeah. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
