Right — been using this thing for maybe four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d say something since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, for context.

The reason I started using it was actually embarrassing — I never could figure out what an e/w payout would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — type in the price and your stake and it shows returns instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the bigger stuff — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, and that’s where I’d always lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s here matched betting profit calculator — free, no signup.

The thing that really made a difference were the geekier tools. They’ve got an probability converter which shows you what margin’s baked in, and a kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. Its interface looks very functional, let’s say — no polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s usable though the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. And no proper app, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
