OK — have been messing about with this thing for maybe six months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. I’m UK based, generally stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
What got me on it was genuinely embarrassing — I couldn’t ever work out what an ew payout would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now stick my stake in first, every time, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out the return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, and that’s where I always lose track. What genuinely made a difference is the more serious extras. They’ve got an implied probability calculator which shows you what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit for when I’m spreading across selections.
Not all sunshine though. The interface looks very functional, let’s say — no flash, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it works though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. There’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — slight shame just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. Anyone who still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
