single_nysi single_nysiParticipant::Right — been on this thing for about six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m UK based, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
How I found it was honestly pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever work out what an e/w return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d wing it and get a shock. Now type the odds in first, every time, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and you get the return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, which is where most people I know got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s over at work out lucky 15 and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
One thing that genuinely changed how I bet were the more serious bits. The odds-to-probability thing which shows you the overround, plus a kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is handy too for when I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. The layout is a bit basic — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s usable although the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And no app, it’s browser only — fine by me just flagging it.
Anyway. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.
