Right — been on this thing for maybe six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was honestly embarrassing — I couldn’t ever work out what an each way return would be when the place terms changed. I’d just wing it and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in before I place anything, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — type in stake and odds and it shows the return with no faffing, either odds format. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where I’d always lose track. What really made a difference was the more serious tools. The implied probability calculator which shows you the overround, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit for when I’m spreading across selections.
Not all sunshine though. Its layout is pretty plain — no frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works although the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. And no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. Anyone who still does the maths on paper, give it a go — saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
