Right — been on this thing for something like five months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me the other day. I’m in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, for context.

What got me on it was actually pretty stupid — I could never work out what an ew return actually came to when the place terms changed. I’d just wing it and get a shock. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator is the one I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and you get profit and total return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. There’s also the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where most people I know mess it up. If you want a look, it lives at matched bonus bet calculator — free, no signup.

One thing that really changed how I bet was the geekier bits. There’s an odds-to-probability calculator and it makes obvious the overround, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. The interface feels a bit basic — zero polish, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it works though the bigger tables are a squeeze. There’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does the job. Anyone who honestly does the maths on paper, try it — saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.

Right — have been messing about with this thing for maybe five months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d write something up since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, for context.

What got me on it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an e/w payout actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. Now I type the odds in first, every time, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — type in stake and odds and it spits out the return straight away, either odds format. There’s also the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, and that’s where I’d always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s over at single calculator bet — free, no signup.

One thing that really made a difference were the geekier bits. There’s an probability converter which shows you the overround, plus a kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design feels a bit basic — no flash, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable although the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. There’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

So yeah. Free, barely any ads, does the job. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
