So — been on this thing for something like four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was actually embarrassing — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an e/w payout actually came to when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and then be surprised. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator is the bit I open most — type in the price and your stake and it spits out profit and total return instantly, either odds format. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, which is where most people I know got it wrong. One thing that actually shifted things for me was the geekier tools. They’ve got an probability calculator that shows what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when I’m splitting a race.
It’s not perfect mind. Its interface looks a bit basic — not much flash, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it works although the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, just the site — fine by me just flagging it.
Anyway. Free, no ads shoved in your face, works. If you even now does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
