single_hkPn single_hkPnParticipant::Right — have been messing about with this thing for something like five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am UK based, generally do football and horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.
What got me on it was honestly embarrassing — I could never figure out what an e/w payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now punch the numbers in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — you put in the price and your stake and you get the return straight away, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know mess it up. Have a go yourself, it lives at how many horses in a lucky 15 — free, no signup.
One thing that really changed how I bet is the nerdier bits. They’ve got an probability thing which shows you what margin’s baked in, and a kelly staking calculator — I use half kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one gets used a fair bit when I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. Its layout is a bit basic — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s fine but the acca grid are a squeeze. Also there’s no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone honestly does the maths on paper, try it — saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.
