Right — been on this thing for about five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

How I found it was honestly a bit daft — I could never figure out what an ew payout actually was when the place terms changed. Basically I’d eyeball it and then be surprised. Now I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — type in stake and odds and it shows returns straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at how to calculate each way bets — free, no signup.

The thing that really shifted things for me was the geekier tools. The implied probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is decent when I’m splitting a race.

Not all sunshine though. The interface is very functional, let’s say — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s usable but the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. And no app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me just flagging it.

Anyway. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If you even now does the maths on paper, try it — saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
