single_hlPn single_hlPnParticipant::So — been using this thing for about six months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d say something since a mate asked me last week. I’m based in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was genuinely a bit daft — I couldn’t ever work out what an ew return actually was when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and you get the return with no faffing, either odds format. It also handles the multiples — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where I’d always lose track. If you want a look, it’s over at accumulator calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that really shifted things for me was the geekier extras. The implied probability converter that shows the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit for when I’m covering two or three runners.
Couple of gripes. The design is very functional, let’s say — no polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s fine though the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — slight shame just flagging it.
So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone still does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
