So — been on this thing for something like a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. Am in the UK, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, for context.
The reason I started using it was actually a bit daft — I couldn’t ever work out what an each way payout actually was when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and get a shock. Now I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator is the part I’m on daily — you put in the price and your stake and it shows returns instantly, fractions or decimals. It also handles the bigger stuff — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where most people I know mess it up. If you want a look, it’s here bet accumulator — free, no signup.
One thing that really made a difference was the geekier extras. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter that shows the overround, and a kelly calculator — I use half kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutch tool is decent when I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. Its layout looks very functional, let’s say — zero polish, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it works although the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.
So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, works. If anyone honestly adds it up in their head, give it a go — saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.
